DIY : Suspended Glitz
I recently had this crazy idea to paint a branch silver and hang jewelry from it. I had envisioned it fastened to a wall, then I
saw this. So pretty!
I'll have to put the project on hold till after the holidays. I'm off
to the Mitten for ten days! Lots of time to pick up some silver spray paint––I always return to the city with contraband Krylon.

Ruche Holiday
I really love the winter styling of the Ruche Holiday Lookbook.
And I may have to throw some of my Christmas cash at that sequined sweater, and maybe this cape...

Lit
I've decorated my front room with holiday lights (pictures to come) and I'm really loving the soft glow they cast. These Cable & Cotton lights would be perfect to have up year-round.

Classic Tree
I can't get enough of this picture! Irish Catholic Christmas '63.
That's my mom on the far left, my uncle John (aka UJ) to her right, my uncle Bill looking crazed in front, my uncle Jim with a cousin in his lap, and my aunt Kate with my uncle Tim when he was just a tot. A good looking group if I say so myself.
I'm thinking of using this photo to create a Modern Family Tree like this one (via >>> Style-For-Style)...
My grandma Jean (dad's mom) and I have a date to dig though old photos when I'm home at Christmas. Can't wait to see what we find!

Cocktail Crazed
I recently scored four Dorothy Thorpe cocktail glasses (the ones Don Draper has in his office). Now I'm on the hunt for a bar cart to house them. No luck yet but I did spot this one from Restoration Hardware. Isn't it a thing of beauty?! Sold out (and probably waaay too pricey). So, it's back to Craigslist...

Chilly City
It's snowing out. It's not even sticking and I'm already OVER it. I don't expect to fare well this winter.
That being said, I'm really digging the cold weather wears by Brown Sparrow's Nest. If you're venturing out to the Renegade Holiday Sale this weekend keep an eye out for their table. I'd be happy to supply a wish list!

Powers of Ten (Perspective)
(Once upon a time a gal met a guy that was attending the same sweet art school as Charles and Ray Eames. They were quite the pair until the guy moved to Utah. The gal ultimately relocated to Chicago. Both lived happily ever after.
Years later when reminded of that moment in time the gal grinned,
it turned out to have been a sizable second in the scheme of things.)
I happend upon Powers of Ten this afternoon (it's been years) and sat mesmerized. I had forgotten how neat the universe is. Watch here.
